अमृत्यु: सर्वदृक्‌ सिंह: संधाता सन्धिमान्स्थिर: । अजो दुर्मर्षण: शास्ता विश्रुतात्मा सुरारिहा

Transliteration

amṛtyuḥ sarvadṛk siṁhaḥ saṁdhātā sandhimān sthiraḥ | ajo durmarṣaṇaḥ śāstā viśrutātmā surārihā ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಅವನು ಅಮೃತ್ಯು, ಮರಣರಹಿತ; ಸರ್ವದೃಕ್, ಸರ್ವವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವವನು; ಸಿಂಹ, ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವವನು. ಅವನು ಸಂಧಾತಾ, ಜೀವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕರ್ಮಫಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವವನು; ಸಂಧಿಮಾನ, ಯಜ್ಞ-ತಪಸ್ಸಿನ ಫಲಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವನು; ಸ್ಥಿರ, ಸದಾ ಏಕರೂಪ. ಅವನು ಅಜ, ಅಜನ್ಮ; ದುರ್ಮರ್ಷಣ, ಅಪ್ರತಿಹತ; ಶಾಸ್ತಾ, ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೂ ಆಳುವ ದಂಡನಾಯಕ; ವಿಶ್ರುತಾತ್ಮ, ವೇದಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ; ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಾರಿಹಾ, ದೇವಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವವನು।
