एको विष्णुर्महदभूतं पृथग्भूतान्यनेकश: । त्रीललोकान् व्याप्य भूतात्मा भुछुक्ते विश्वभुगव्यय:
eko viṣṇur mahadabhūtaṃ pṛthagbhūtāny anekaśaḥ | trīl lokān vyāpya bhūtātmā bhuṅkte viśvabhug avyayaḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಅವ್ಯಯನಾದ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ; ಅವನೇ ಮಹದ್ಭೂತವಾಗಿ (ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜಗತ್ತಾಗಿ) ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಅನೇಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಭಜಿತನಾಗಿ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಅನೇಕ ರೂಪಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತ್ರಿಲೋಕವನ್ನೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿ, ಸರ್ವಭೂತಗಳ ಅಂತರಾತ್ಮನಾಗಿ ವಿಶ್ವಭೋಗ್ತನಾಗಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
