Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)

तेन त्वां परिपृच्छामि धर्मज्ञे धर्मवादिनि । स्त्रीधर्म श्रोतुमिच्छामि त्वयोदाह्ृतमादित:

Transliteration

tena tvāṁ paripṛcchāmi dharmajñe dharmavādini | strī-dharmaṁ śrotum icchāmi tvayodāhṛtam āditaḥ ||

Translation

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಓ ಧರ್ಮಜ್ಞೆ, ಧರ್ಮವಾಡಿನಿ! ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಧರ್ಮದ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಆದಿಯಿಂದ ಅಂತ್ಯವರೆಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಾರೀಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
