Umā–Maheśvara-saṃvāda: Varṇa-bhraṃśa, Ācāra (Vṛtta), and Karmic Ascent/Decline
आप ही प्राणियोंकी सृष्टि करते हैं, आप ही समस्त प्रजाका संहार करते हैं और आप ही मनुष्योंसहित सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंकी सनातन प्रकृति (मूल कारण) हैं ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | samprahasya tato viṣṇur idaṃ vacanam abravīt | cakreṇa nihatā daityāḥ padbhyāṃ krāntā vasundharā | varāharūpaṃ dhṛtvā hiraṇyākṣo nipātitaḥ | vāmanabrāhmaṇarūpeṇa baliḥ jitavān mayā |
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆಮೇಲೆ ಭಗವಾನ್ ವಿಷ್ಣು ನಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು—ದೇವರಾಜ! ನಾನು ಚಕ್ರದಿಂದ ದೈತ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಪಾದಗಳಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸಿದೆ. ವರಾಹರೂಪ ಧರಿಸಿ ಹಿರಣ್ಯಾಕ್ಷನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಪತನಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ; ವಾಮನ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆ.
