भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । मैत्रेयस्य च संवाद कृष्णद्वैयायनस्थ च
bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | maitreyaśya ca saṁvādaṁ kṛṣṇadvaipāyanasya ca ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಾಜನೇ! ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಂದು ಪುರಾತನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ—ಮೈತ್ರೇಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣದ್ವೈಪಾಯನ ವ್ಯಾಸರ ಸಂವಾದ.
