भीष्म उवाच अत्र ते वर्णयिष्यामि यथावृत्तं यथाश्रुतम्‌ । रुक्मिणी देवकीपुत्रसंनिधौ पर्यपृच्छत

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | atra te varṇayiṣyāmi yathāvṛttaṃ yathāśrutam | rukmiṇī devakīputrasaṃnidhau paryapṛcchat |

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ರಾಜನೇ! ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದದ್ದನ್ನು, ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಯಥಾವತ್ತಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ದೇವಕೀಪುತ್ರ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರುಕ್ಮಿಣಿ ಶ್ರೀ (ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ)ಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದಳೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳು।
