भीष्म उवाच अत्र ते वर्तयिष्यामि पुरावृत्तं जनाधिप । वासुदेवस्य संवाद पृथिव्याश्वैव भारत

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | atra te vartayiṣyāmi purāvṛttaṁ janādhipa | vāsudevasya saṁvādaṁ pṛthivyāś caiva bhārata ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ಜನಾಧಿಪ, ಓ ಭಾರತ! ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪುರಾತನ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತವನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ—ವಾಸುದೇವ (ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ) ಮತ್ತು ಭೂದೇವಿಯ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು.
