तच्छरैरर्जुनो वर्ष प्रतिजघ्नेडत्यमर्षित:
taccharair arjuno varṣaṃ pratijaghne ’tyamarṣitaḥ |
ಅತಿಯಾದ ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಉರಿದ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಆ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಹತ ಮಾಡಿ ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗಿಸಿದನು. ತನ್ನ ಕಲ್ಲುಮಳೆ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಶತಕ್ರತು—ನೂರು ಯಜ್ಞಗಳ ಕರ್ತೃ ಇಂದ್ರ—ಮತ್ತೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಭಾರಿಯಾದ ಶಿಲಾವೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದನು.
