रुरुधुश्चापरास्तत्र प्रजघ्नुश्न परस्परम् । मन्त्रयामासुरन्याश्व॒ रहस्यानि परस्परम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | rurudhuś cāparās tatra prajaghnuś ca parasparam | mantrayāmāsur anyāś ca rahasyāni parasparam ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಹಿಡಿದು ತಡೆಯತೊಡಗಿದರು; ಆಟದ ಚಪಲತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃದುವಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಹೊಡೆಯತೊಡಗಿದರು. ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಏಕಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ರಹಸ್ಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿನಿಮಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
