The verse distinguishes personal intention from the consequences produced by another’s wrath: one should not hastily blame an innocent party, and one must recognize how anger—especially when backed by spiritual power—can create harm and demands restraint.
A Brahmin woman clarifies that she has not caused the affliction (loss of sight) nor is she angry; rather, the Bhārgava child born from her thigh is the one who has become enraged against the addressed group, indicating that the danger arises from his wrath.
