Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)

राज्युवाच अवलिपत॑ मुखं ब्रह्मन्‌ दिव्यान्‌ गन्धान्‌ बिभर्मि च । सुतार्थे नोपलब्धास्मि तिष्ठ याज मम प्रिये

rājñy uvāca—avaliptaṁ mukhaṁ brahman divyān gandhān bibharmi ca | sutārthe nopalabdhāsmi tiṣṭha yāja mama priye ||

ರಾಣಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು— “ಹೇ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ, ನನ್ನ ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ತಾಂಬೂಲಾದಿಗಳ ಬಣ್ಣ ಅಂಟಿದೆ; ನಾನು ದಿವ್ಯ ಸುಗಂಧಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಂಗರಾಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಪುತ್ರಾರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಶುದ್ಧಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹೇ ಯಾಜ, ನನ್ನ ಈ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಕರ್ಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕಾಯಿರಿ.”
