ततो भीम: शनैर्भुक्त्वा तदन्नं पुरुषर्षभ: । वार्युपस्पृश्य संहृष्टस्तस्थी युधि महाबल:,तदनन्तर नरश्रेष्ठ महाबली भीमसेनने धीरे-धीरे वह सब अन्न खाकर, आचमन करके मुँह-हाथ धो लिये, फिर वे अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हो युद्धके लिये डट गये
tato bhīmaḥ śanair bhuktvā tad-annaṁ puruṣarṣabhaḥ | vāry-upaspṛśya saṁhṛṣṭas tasthau yudhi mahābalaḥ ||
ನಂತರ ಪುರುಷಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಾದ ಮಹಾಬಲ ಭೀಮನು ಆ ಅನ್ನವನ್ನು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಭುಂಜಿಸಿದನು; ಬಳಿಕ ಆಚಮನ ಮಾಡಿ, ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ, ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತನು।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in a martial setting, one should act with discipline and propriety: take what is needed without agitation, observe purification (ācamana), and then enter duty with a composed, resolute mind.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Bhīma finishes eating the provided food slowly, performs ācamana with water, feels invigorated, and then stands ready and firm for the impending fight.
