बक-राक्षसस्य आह्वानम् तथा वृक्षयुद्धम्

स तत्र पीत्वा पानीयं स्नात्वा च भरतर्षभ । तेषामर्थे च जग्राह भ्रातृणां भ्रातृवत्सल: । उत्तरीयेण पानीयमानयामास भारत
sa tatra pītvā pānīyaṃ snātvā ca bharatarṣabha | teṣām arthe ca jagrāha bhrātṝṇāṃ bhrātṛvatsalaḥ || uttarīyeṇa pānīyam ānayāmāsa bhārata ||
ಓ ಭರತಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ! ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದು ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಸಹೋದರರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿದ್ದ ಭೀಮನು ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೂಡ ನೀರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ಉತ್ತರೀಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದನು.
