कृत्रिमं भासमारोप्य वृक्षाग्रे शिल्पिभि: कृतम् । अविज्ञातं कुमाराणां लक्ष्यभूतमुपादिशत्
kṛtrimaṃ bhāsam āropya vṛkṣāgre śilpibhiḥ kṛtam | avijñātaṃ kumārāṇāṃ lakṣyabhūtam upādiśat |
ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೃತಕ ಗಿಡುಗವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಮರದ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅದು ನಕಲಿ ಎಂಬುದು ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಚಾರ್ಯನು ಅದೇ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಗುರಿಯೆಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದನು।
