दारकेष्वप्रमत्ता च भवेथाशक्ष हिता मम । अतोजन्यन्न प्रपश्यामि संदेष्टव्यं हि किंचन
dārakeṣv apramattā ca bhavethāśakṣa hitā mama | ato 'nyan na prapaśyāmi sandeṣṭavyaṃ hi kiṃcana ||
“ಮಕ್ಕಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದಿರು; ಅವರ ಹಿತವನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಪೋಷಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸು. ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
