न सीदेतामदुःखाहें मा गमो भरतर्षभ । “इस मार्गपर केवल वायु चल सकती है तथा सिद्ध महर्षि भी जा सकते हैं। इस पर्वतराजपर चलती हुई ये दोनों राजकुमारियाँ कैसे कष्ट न पायेंगी? भरतवंशशिरोमणे! ये दोनों रानियाँ दुःख सहन करनेके योग्य नहीं हैं; अतः आप न चलिये'
na sīdetām aduḥkhāhe mā gamo bharatarṣabha
ದುಃಖಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವಿಲ್ಲದ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಕಳವಳಪಡದಿರಲಿ; ಓ ಭರತಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ, ನೀವು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿ. ಈ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಳಿಯೇ ಸಾಗಬಲ್ಲದು; ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳೂ ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೋಗಬಲ್ಲರು. ಈ ಪರ್ವತರಾಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದು ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರು ರಾಜಕುಮಾರಿಯರು ಹೇಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ? ಓ ಭರತವಂಶಶಿರೋಮಣಿ, ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರು ರಾಣಿಯರು ಇಂತಹ ವೇದನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯರಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಬೇಡಿ.
