धर्म्यमर्थसमायुक्तमुवाच वचन हितम् | कौसल्ये धर्मतन्त्र॑ त्वां यद् ब्रवीमि निबोध तत्
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
dharmyam arthasamāyuktam uvāca vacanaṁ hitam |
kausalyē dharmatantre tvaṁ yad bravīmi nibodha tat ||
ಅವಳು ಧರ್ಮ್ಯವೂ ಅರ್ಥಸಮ್ಮತವೂ ಹಿತಕರವೂ ಆದ ವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿದಳು— “ಓ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆ! ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಳಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಸು.”
