Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय
शाकमूलफलादीनां धान्यवच्छुद्धिरिष्यते मार्जनोन्मार्जनैर् वेश्म पुनःपाकेन मृन्मयम्
śākamūlaphalādīnāṃ dhānyavacchuddhiriṣyate mārjanonmārjanair veśma punaḥpākena mṛnmayam
ಶಾಕ, ಮೂಲ, ಫಲಾದಿಗಳ ಶುದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಧಾನ್ಯಗಳಂತೆ ವಿಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಮನೆ ಒರೆಸಿ-ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸಿದರೆ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೇಯಿಸಿದರೆ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ।
