दैत्येश्वरैर्महाभागैः सदारैः ससुतैर्द्विजाः श्रौतस्मार्तार्थधर्मज्ञैस् तद्धर्मनिरतैः सदा

ಹೇ ದ್ವಿಜರೇ, ದೈತ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಭಾಗ್ಯರಾದ ದೈತ್ಯೇಶ್ವರರು ಪತ್ನಿ‑ಪುತ್ರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರುತಿ‑ಸ್ಮೃತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾದ ಧರ್ಮಕರ್ತವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದವರಾಗಿ, ಸದಾ ಆ ಧರ್ಮಗಳ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು।
