अनुगम्येच्छया शूद्रं प्रेतीभूतं द्विजोत्तमः / गायत्र्यष्टसहस्रं च जप्यं कुर्यान्नदीषु च

ಶೂದ್ರನು ತನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇತಸಂಬಂಧ ಅಶೌಚದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ದ್ವಿಜನನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರೆ, ಆ ದ್ವಿಜನು ನದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಗಾಯತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಎಂಟು ಸಾವಿರ ಬಾರಿ ಜಪಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು।
