मदन्वये तु ये सूताः संभूता वेदवर्जिताः / तेषां पुराणवक्तृत्वं वृत्तिरासीदजाज्ञया
madanvaye tu ye sūtāḥ saṃbhūtā vedavarjitāḥ / teṣāṃ purāṇavaktṛtvaṃ vṛttirāsīdajājñayā
ನನ್ನ ವಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಸೂತರು ವೇದಾಧ್ಯಯನದಿಂದ ವರ್ಜಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅಜ (ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ)ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಿಂದ ಪುರಾಣವಚನವೇ ಅವರ ಜೀವನವೃತ್ತಿಯಾಯಿತು।
