भूर्लोक: कल्पित: पद्‍भ्यां भुवर्लोकोऽस्य नाभित: । स्वर्लोक: कल्पितो मूर्ध्ना इति वा लोककल्पना ॥ ४२ ॥

bhūrlokaḥ kalpitaḥ padbhyāṁ bhuvarloko ’sya nābhitaḥ svarlokaḥ kalpito mūrdhnā iti vā loka-kalpanā

ಕೆಲವರು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲೋಕವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂರು ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಪಾದಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಭೂರ್ಳೋಕ, ನಾಭಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭುವರ್ಲೋಕ, ಮತ್ತು ವಕ್ಷದಿಂದ ಶಿರಸ್ಸಿನವರೆಗೆ ಸ್ವರ್ಲೋಕ; ಇದುವೇ ಲೋಕಕಲ್ಪನೆ.
