Daśa-lakṣaṇam
सूत उवाच अथर्ववित्सुमन्तुश्च शिष्यमध्यापयत् स्वकाम् । संहितां सोऽपि पथ्याय वेददर्शाय चोक्तवान् ॥ १ ॥
sūta uvāca atharva-vit sumantuś ca śiṣyam adhyāpayat svakām saṁhitāṁ so ’pi pathyāya vedadarśāya coktavān
ಸೂತನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಅಥರ್ವವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕನಾದ ಸುಮಂತು ಋಷಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಹಿತೆಯನ್ನು ಶಿಷ್ಯ ಕಬಂಧನಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದನು; ಕಬಂಧನು ಅದನ್ನು ಪಥ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೇದದರ್ಶರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು।
