त्रेतायां धर्मपादानां तुर्यांशो हीयते शनै: । अधर्मपादैरनृतहिंसासन्तोषविग्रहै: ॥ २० ॥

Transliteration

tretāyāṁ dharma-pādānāṁ turyāṁśo hīyate śanaiḥ adharma-pādair anṛta- hiṁṣāsantoṣa-vigrahaiḥ

Translation

ತ್ರೇತಾಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮದ ಪಾದಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂದು ಚತುರ್ಥಾಂಶವು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅಧರ್ಮದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಆಧಾರಗಳು—ಸುಳ್ಳು, ಹಿಂಸೆ, ಅಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಹ—ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರುತ್ತವೆ.
