लाक्षा रात्री माता नभः पितार्यमा ते पितामहः । सिलाची नाम वा असि सा देवानामसि स्वसा

IAST Transliteration

lā́kṣā rā́trī mātā́ nábhaḥ pitā́ryamā́ te pitāmaháḥ | silācī́ nā́ma vá̄ asi sā́ devā́nām asi svásā

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Lac—Night is thy mother; the Sky thy father; Aryaman thy grandsire. By name thou art Silācī: thou art the Gods’ own sister.

Translation

ಲಾಕ್ಷಾ—ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ; ಆಕಾಶ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ; ಆರ್ಯಮನ್ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತಾಮಹ. ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ನೀನು ‘ಶಿಲಾಚೀ’; ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸಹೋದರಿ.
