Sukta 4
दे॒वा य॒ज्ञमृ॒तवः॑ कल्पयन्ति ह॒विः पु॑रो॒डाशं॑ स्रु॒चो य॑ज्ञायु॒धानि॑ । तेभि॑र्याहि प॒थिभि॑र्देव॒यानै॒र्यैरी॑जा॒नाः स्व॒र्गं यन्ति॑ लो॒कम्
devā́ yajñám ṛtávaḥ kalpayanti havíḥ puroḍā́śaṃ srúco yajñāyudhā́ni | tébhir yāhi pathíbhiḥ devayā́naiḥ yáir ījānā́ḥ svargáṃ yánti lókam ||
The Gods, the Seasons, marshal the Sacrifice—oblation and cake, the ladles, the sacrificial instruments. By these go forth upon the godward paths, whereby the sacrificing attain the heavenly world.
ದೇವರು—ಋತುಗಳು—ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ: ಹವಿಸ್, ಪುರೋಡಾಶ (ಯಜ್ಞಕೇಕ್), ಸ್ರುಚಗಳು (ಹೋಮಚಮಚಗಳು), ಯಜ್ಞಾಯುಧಗಳು (ಯಜ್ಞೋಪಕರಣಗಳು). ಅವೇ ದೇವಯಾನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ನೀನು ಹೊರಡು; ಆ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಯಜಮಾನರು ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
