दिवं ब्रूमो नक्षत्राणि भूमिं यक्षाणि पर्वतान्। समुद्रा नद्योऽ वेशन्तास्ते नो मुञ्चन्त्वंहसः

IAST Transliteration

dívam brūmo nákṣatrāṇi bhū́miṁ yákṣāṇi párvatān | samudrā́ nadyò ’véśantās té no muñcántv áṁhasaḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Heaven we address, and the Stars; Earth, the Yaksas, and the Mountains; the Seas, the Rivers that enter and abide: let these release us from distress.

Translation

ನಾವು ದಿವವನ್ನು (ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು) ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಮತ್ತು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು; ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು, ಯಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು, ಮತ್ತು ಪರ್ವತಗಳನ್ನು; ಸಮುದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು, ಮತ್ತು ಒಳನುಗ್ಗಿ ನೆಲೆಸುವ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು—ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಂಹಸ್ (ಕಷ್ಟ/ಪಾಪ)ದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ.
