अभिक्रन्दन् स्तनयन्नरुणः शितिङ्गो बृहच्छेपोऽनु भूमौ जभार । ब्रह्मचारी सिञ्चति सानौ रेतः पृथिव्यां तेन जीवन्ति प्रदिशश्चतस्रः

IAST Transliteration

abhikrándan stanáyann aruṇáḥ śitíṅgo bṛhácchepo ’nú bhū́mau jabhāra | brahmacārī siñcati sā́nau rétaḥ pṛthivyā́ṃ téna jīvanti pradíśaś cátasraḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Roaring aloud, thundering, the ruddy one, bright-horned, great-trailed, bore it along and set it upon the earth. The Brahmacārin sprinkles seed upon the height; thereby the Earth is quickened, and by that the four quarters live.

Translation

ಗರ್ಜಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಗುಡುಗುತ್ತಾ, ಅರುಣವರ್ಣದ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನ ಶೃಂಗವಂತ, ಮಹಾ ಪೃಷ್ಠಚಿಹ್ನೆಯವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ತಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚಾರೀ ಶಿಖರದ ಮೇಲೆ ರೇತಃ (ವೀರ್ಯ)ವನ್ನು ಸಿಂಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅದರಿಂದ ಪೃಥಿವಿ ಚೇತನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಅದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳು ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
