यत् त्वा शिक्वः परावधीत् तक्षा हस्तेन वास्या । आपस्त्वा तस्मज्जीवलाः पुनन्तु शुचयः शुचिम्

IAST Transliteration

yát tvā́ śikváḥ parā́vadhīt tákṣā hástena vā́syā | ā́pas tvā́ tásmāj jīvá-lāḥ punantu śúcayaḥ śúcim ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

What hurt the craftsman dealt thee—what the carpenter with hand and adze—therefrom let the Waters, life-bestowing, cleanse thee, pure ones cleansing thee to purity.

Translation

ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಯು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಗಾಯ, ತಕ್ಷನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ್ಯಾ (ಕೊಯ್ತಿಗೆ/ಅಡ್ಜ್) ಹಿಡಿದು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾನಿ—ಅದರಿಂದ ಜೀವದಾಯಕವಾದ ಜಲಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಲಿ; ಪವಿತ್ರ ಜಲಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಾವಿತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಳೆಯಲಿ.
