Mantrāuṣadha-ādi (Mantras, Medicinal Herbs, and Ritual Diagrams for Protection and Victory)
ಯುದ್ಧಜಯಾರ್ಣವದ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಅಗ್ನಿ ವಸಿಷ್ಠರಿಗೆ ವಿಜಯಸಾಧನೆಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಮಂತ್ರ, ಔಷಧ (ಸಸ್ಯೌಷಧಿ) ಮತ್ತು ಚಕ್ರ/ರೇಖಾ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಸಮನ್ವಯವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅಧ್ಯಾಯದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಮಾಧಾರಿತ ಅಕ್ಷರ/ಮಾತ್ರಾ ಗಣನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಜನ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲಸೂಚನೆ, ಸಮ-ವಿಷಮ ಅಕ್ಷರಸಂಖ್ಯಾ ನಿಯಮಗಳು, ಛಂದಸ್ಸು/ಗುಣ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ನಂತರ ರಣಜ್ಯೋತಿಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಶನಿ-ಚಕ್ರ ವಿಚಾರ, ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಹರ/ಯಾಮ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಸೂಚನೆ, ಮತ್ತು ‘ದಿನ-ರಾಹು’ ಹಾಗೂ ‘ತಿಥಿ-ರಾಹು’ಗಳನ್ನು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಕ್ಷೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಭದಾಯಕ ದಿಕ್ಕು ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೂಲಭೇದಕ ರೇಖೆಗಳು, ವಿಷ್ಟಿ–ರಾಹುವಿನ ಎಂಟು-ರೇಖಾ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದೇವತೆ/ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗಾಳಿದಿಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಶಕುನವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳ-ವ್ಯೂಹದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೋಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಷ್ಯ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ವಿಶೇಷ ಔಷಧಿಗಳು ಅಸ್ತ್ರ-ಶಸ್ತ್ರ ನಿವಾರಣೆಗೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಹಪೀಡೆ, ಜ್ವರ, ಭೂತಬಾಧೆ ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹು-ಬೀಜಯುಕ್ತ ಶಕ್ತಿಶಾಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಾಮಂತ್ರ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ—ಆಗ್ನೇಯ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ।
