FAQs

No ritual or technical vidyā is taught here; the verse functions as narrative dialogue within the Agni Purana’s Ramayana synopsis, highlighting refusal of adharma and the contrast between rākṣasa coercion and dharmic loyalty.

It illustrates the Agni Purana’s encyclopedic scope by embedding Itihāsa material (Ramayana episodes) alongside other disciplines; the text preserves moral-ethical exemplars through compact epic retellings.

The passage reinforces dharma through steadfastness and rejection of unrighteous unions or coercion; such fidelity to righteousness is portrayed as spiritually purifying and supportive of good karma.
