FAQs

It conveys a phala-śruti tied to Vaiśākha-month Dvādaśī observance—stating an auspicious marital outcome (becoming a husband) and a visionary/dream encounter involving Uṣā.

It exemplifies the Purana’s cataloging of vrata-tithis (observances by lunar days) along with specific promised results, integrating ritual calendrics, merit theology, and narrative motifs into a single compact instruction.

The verse frames Dvādaśī-in-Vaiśākha as karma-producing (puṇya-generating), with worldly auspiciousness—especially marriage and joy—presented as the tangible fruit of disciplined observance.
