Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: Maps liberation into graded states (sālokya, sāmīpya), a common devotional soteriology; encourages liṅga-bhakti aiming at proximity and service to Śiva rather than mere worldly boons.
Shakti Form: Umā
Role: nurturing
It describes graded liberation centered on Śiva: first sālokya (dwelling in Śiva’s realm), then sāmīpya (intimate nearness), emphasizing surrender to Pati (Śiva) as the liberating Lord.
Sāmbā indicates Śiva approached as the gracious, worship-worthy Lord (Saguna), toward whom devotion and service mature into proximity (sāmīpya), a fruit traditionally associated with steadfast Linga-bhakti.
The takeaway is single-pointed Śiva-niṣṭhā: daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with disciplined worship (arcana) and inner surrender, aiming for constant remembrance and service to Śiva.
