Tattva Level: pashu
Sthala Purana: The verse depicts collection of upāyana (wedding/auspicious gifts) and movement toward sacred mountains; it functions as a kṣetra-setting rather than a specific jyotirliṅga origin.
Significance: Highlights dāna/upāyana as dharmic preparation—an archetype for pilgrims bringing offerings when approaching a śaiva-kṣetra or marriage festival of Śiva–Śakti.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It highlights the Shaiva principle that sincere intention expressed through respectful offerings and disciplined movement toward the sacred supports devotion and prepares the seeker for Shiva’s grace.
Carrying upāyanas (offerings) reflects the devotional approach of Saguna Shiva worship, where reverence is embodied through ritual gifts and service (upacāra) directed toward Shiva’s manifest form such as the Liṅga.
Offer worship with collected, pure items (naivedya, flowers, water) while maintaining a devotional resolve; accompany it with japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” as an inner offering.
