Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga narrative; it depicts social/ritual readiness (nimantraṇa, bandhu-samāgama) as part of the dharmic frame for Śiva–Pārvatī events.
Significance: General teaching: welcoming sādhus/kin with pure intent is a dharmic support to devotion; hospitality becomes an indirect offering to Śiva when done for Śiva-kārya.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
The verse highlights the bhāva (inner disposition) of wholehearted joy and expectancy, implying that sincere inner feeling (sarvabhāva) is central to dharmic life and, by extension, to bhakti that matures toward Shiva’s grace.
Though narrative in tone, it reflects the Shaiva emphasis that devotion is not merely external—approaching Saguna Shiva (as Lord, husband, refuge) is strengthened by complete-hearted intent, the same inner fullness that makes Linga-worship fruitful.
The takeaway is cultivating sarvabhāva in practice—mentally offering all actions to Shiva while repeating the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with steadiness; if performed ritually, it can be paired with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and simple daily worship.
