Himavat (Himalaya), advising Parvati
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Rudra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
The verse teaches that steadfast devotion expressed as tapas purifies the seeker and makes one fit for Shiva’s grace; attainment is shown as the fruit of inner refinement rather than mere desire.
“Worship the Lord for a long time” points to sustained saguna-upasana—commonly done through Shiva-linga worship—where disciplined practice matures into divine acceptance and blessing.
Long-term tapas-based worship: regular japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namah Shivaya), meditation on Rudra, and observances like vrata (including Mahashivratri-style night vigil) to cultivate purity and steadfastness.
