Viṣṇoḥ Sahasranāma-stotreṇa Śiva-prasādaḥ
Vishnu’s Thousand-Name Hymn and Shiva’s Grace
janārdano'pi bhagavānvacanācchaṅkarasya ca | prāpya cakraṃ śubhaṃ tadvai jaharṣāti svacetasi
Suta Goswami (narrating the Koṭirudrasaṃhitā account to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It emphasizes that even Viṣṇu honors Śiva’s word; divine power is shown as arising through Śiva’s grace, teaching humility and devotion as the basis for auspicious attainments.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva as the living Lord whose spoken will bestows boons; Linga-worship in the Purāṇa is presented as communion with that same gracious authority of Śaṅkara.
A practical takeaway is śaraṇāgati (seeking refuge) expressed through daily Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and reverent obedience to dharma, cultivating inner joy (harṣa) as a sign of grace.
