Lord Shiva (Īśvara)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Bhairava
Mantra: (Astra-mantra referenced; text not quoted in verse)
It teaches that Śiva-worship begins with śuddhi (purification) and protective sanctification of the worship-space; outer order supports inner steadiness and devotion directed to Pati (Śiva), the liberator.
Preparing the maṇḍala and consecrating the seat (tiger-skin) establishes an auspicious, protected setting for Saguna worship—such as Liṅga-pūjā—where the devotee approaches Śiva through form, mantra, and rite.
It suggests laying down a proper āsana (tiger-skin) and performing prokṣaṇa (sprinkling) with pure water while using a protective mantra (Astra-mantra), a standard preliminary for safe and focused japa or pūjā.
