Vali’s Final Counsel and the Succession Charge
अस्यां त्वहमवस्थायां वीर वक्ष्यामि यद्वचः।यद्यप्यसुकरं राजन्कर्तुमेव तदर्हसि
asyāṃ tv aham avasthāyāṃ vīra vakṣyāmi yad vacaḥ | yady apy asukaraṃ rājan kartum eva tad arhasi ||
ក្នុងស្ថានភាពនេះ ឱ ព្រះរាជាវីរបុរស ខ្ញុំនឹងនិយាយពាក្យដែលត្រូវនិយាយ; ទោះបីជាលំបាកក៏ដោយ ឱ ព្រះរាជា អ្នកគួរតែអនុវត្តឲ្យបានសម្រេច។
'O warrior king! you should do whatever I request you at this hour even though it may not be easy.
Dharma may demand hard actions; rightful duty is to be performed even when emotionally or politically difficult.
Vāli prepares Sugrīva to accept a final, serious instruction connected to governance and family responsibility.
Resolve (dhṛti): the capacity to do what is right, not merely what is easy.
