Concept: Dharana (wearing/upholding) of a sacred thirteen-faced form is declared to destroy all sins and grant an imperishable heavenly state, analogized to Maheśvara’s own station.

Application: Adopt a consistent, respectful spiritual discipline (dharana, japa, ethical restraint) and pair it with inner purification; treat ‘akṣaya’ as steadiness of virtue rather than mere reward-seeking.

Maheśvara (Śiva)

FAQs

It states that by dhāraṇā (wearing/maintaining/holding) the thirteen-faced form, one is freed from all sins and gains an imperishable heaven (akṣaya svarga).

Śiva is cited as the exemplar: the devotee’s attainment of akṣaya svarga is likened to Maheśvara’s divine status and exalted abode.

The verse highlights the Purāṇic theme that sincere religious observance (dhāraṇā linked to a sacred form) purifies wrongdoing and yields lasting spiritual merit.
