Rudra (Mahādeva/Shiva)
Concept: Those who praise the Goddess with this stotra become eligible for her blessings; devotion expressed through speech is efficacious.
Application: Adopt a consistent practice of recitation (stotra-japa) with sincerity; treat words as offerings, not performance.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Rudra, calm yet commanding, extends a boon with open palm while addressing the fair-faced Goddess; the air is filled with the afterglow of hymn-syllables. Sandhi Resolution Notes: यत्ते = यत् + ते; स्तोत्रेणानेन = स्तोत्रेण + अनेन; त्त्वां (पाठभेद) = त्वाम्; वरानने = वर + आनने (कर्मधारय).
The verse explicitly marks “Rudra uvāca,” indicating Rudra (Shiva) is speaking, addressing Devī (the Goddess), called “varānane” (fair-faced).
It introduces the granting of a boon and begins a statement about the spiritual efficacy (phala) of praising the Goddess with the specified hymn (stotra).
The verse underscores devotion expressed through sincere praise (stotra) and frames divine grace as responsive—boons and benefits arise through reverent worship and remembrance.
