भीष्मः पिंडं ददौ भूमौ नाधिकरः करे यतः । शंतनुः प्राह संतुष्टः शास्त्रार्थे निश्चलो भवान् ॥ ३९ ॥
bhīṣmaḥ piṃḍaṃ dadau bhūmau nādhikaraḥ kare yataḥ | śaṃtanuḥ prāha saṃtuṣṭaḥ śāstrārthe niścalo bhavān || 39 ||
ភីෂ្មៈ បានដាក់ «បិណ្ឌ» លើដី ព្រោះគាត់មិនមានសិទ្ធិដាក់ក្នុងដៃឡើយ។ បន្ទាប់មក សន្តនុ ពេញចិត្ត បាននិយាយថា៖ «អ្នកឈរមាំក្នុងអត្ថន័យពិតនៃសាស្ត្រ»។
