Narrative voice within the Rukmāṅgada–Mohinī episode (a petitioner/messenger addressing a venerable Brahman/sage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
The verse frames spiritual progress as the removal of मोह (delusion) through कृपा (grace): the seeker asks a compassionate authority to provide the right “gati” (course/recourse) so that the mind returns to dharma and devotion.
Bhakti is shown as dependence on divine/sage-like compassion—guidance is requested not merely for information, but for inner transformation: the undoing of enchantment (Mohinī) and restoration of steadfastness in righteous devotion.
The verse is primarily narrative and devotional rather than technical; its practical takeaway aligns with dharma-śāstra style instruction—seeking proper counsel to correct भ्रम (confusion) and act according to vow-based discipline (vrata) and righteous conduct.
