सत्यं जपस्तपो दानं पूर्वधर्मो य उच्यते यदा धर्मस्य ह्रसते शाखाधर्मस्य वर्धते //

Transliteration

satyaṃ japastapo dānaṃ pūrvadharmo ya ucyate yadā dharmasya hrasate śākhādharmasya vardhate //

Translation

សច្ចៈ (ការពិត) ជបៈ (ការសូត្រមន្ត្រា) តបៈ (ការអធិស្ឋានអាស្កេស) និងទានៈ (ការបរិច្ចាគ) — ទាំងនេះត្រូវបានប្រកាសថាជាធម្មបុរាណដ៏ជាមូលដ្ឋាន។ ពេលណាធម្មនោះថយចុះ ធម្មសាខា (ទម្រង់រង/និកាយ) ក៏កើនឡើង។
