Adhyaya 69 — The King’s Neglect of His Wife and the Restoration of Dharma
गच्छ संयो जयाशु त्वं भार्यया हि द्विजात्तमम् । मा पापास्पदतां यातु त्वमिवासौ दिने दिने ॥
gaccha saṃyojayāśu tvaṃ bhāryayā hi dvijāttamam / mā pāpāspadatāṃ yātu tvam ivāsau dine dine
ចូរទៅ—រហ័ស ឲ្យព្រាហ្មណ៍ដ៏ប្រសើរនោះបានជួបភរិយាវិញ ដើម្បីកុំឲ្យគាត់រៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃធ្លាក់ចូលកៅអីនៃបាប ដូចដែលអ្នកបានធ្លាក់។
When one’s lapse harms others, dharma demands prompt restitution. The verse also warns that prolonged separation can become a continuing moral hazard, producing repeated fault ‘day by day.’
Manvantara narrative with dharma-śikṣā (ethical instruction) embedded; it exemplifies conduct expected in a given cosmic era.
‘Reuniting’ symbolizes reintegration of fractured order—restoring harmony between complementary principles (gṛhastha stability), preventing the mind from becoming a recurring ‘site of sin’ through unchecked impulses.
