This line is a colophon marking the close of a chapter; its ethical resonance lies in situating the Rāmopākhyāna within the Mahābhārata’s dharma-discourse, where Rāma’s forest-going is remembered as an exemplar of duty, restraint, and fidelity to righteous obligation.
The text is not a spoken verse of dialogue but an editorial/recitational closure: it announces that the chapter on Rāma’s approach to (or entry into) the forest has concluded within the Vana Parva’s Rāmopākhyāna section.
