अचरन्त तपस्तीव्रं पुत्रार्थ बहुवार्षिकम्‌ । पुत्रं लभेम धर्मिष्ठं यशसा ब्रह्मणा समम्‌

Transliteration

acarant tapas tīvraṁ putrārthaṁ bahuvārṣikam | putraṁ labhema dharmiṣṭhaṁ yaśasā brahmaṇā samam ||

Translation

មារកណ្ឌេយៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ដើម្បីទទួលបានកូនប្រុស យើងបានអនុវត្តតបស្យាដ៏តឹងរឹងអស់ជាច្រើនឆ្នាំ ដោយអធិស្ឋានថា សូមឲ្យយើងបានកូនប្រុសដែលមានធម៌ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់បំផុត—មានកេរ្តិ៍ឈ្មោះស្មើព្រះព្រហ្មា»។
