ब्राह्मणानुयात्रा—शौनकोपदेशः

Brāhmaṇas Follow into Exile and Śaunaka’s Instruction

वैशम्पायन उवाच इत्युक्त्वा स नृप: शोचन्‌ निषसाद महीतले । तमध्यात्मरतो विद्वान्‌ शौनको नाम वै द्विज:

vaiśampāyana uvāca | ity uktvā sa nṛpaḥ śocan niṣasāda mahītale | tam adhyātma-rato vidvān śaunako nāma vai dvijaḥ rājānam idam abravīt |

វៃសម្បាយនៈ បាននិយាយថា៖ ព្រះរាជា បាននិយាយដូច្នោះហើយ ក៏សោកស្តាយខ្លាំង ទៅអង្គុយស្ងៀមលើដី។ នៅពេលនោះ ព្រះព្រាហ្មណ៍អ្នកប្រាជ្ញឈ្មោះ សោនកៈ ជាអ្នករមែងរវល់ក្នុងការពិចារណាខាងវិញ្ញាណ និងជំនាញក្នុងការបែងចែកទាំងយោគៈនៃកម្ម (karma-yoga) និងសាំងខ្យៈ (sāṅkhya) បានថ្លែងទៅកាន់ព្រះរាជាដោយពាក្យទាំងនេះ។
