अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)
प्रसादमेषां दास्यामि कुन्तीपुत्रो$नुमन्यताम् । दुर्योधनाय तत् सर्व कथयन्ति सम विस्मिता:
prasādam eṣāṁ dāsyāmi kuntīputro 'numanyatām | duryodhanāya tat sarvaṁ kathayanti sma vismitāḥ ||
វៃសម្បាយនៈ បាននិយាយថា៖ «ខ្ញុំនឹងប្រទានរង្វាន់ដល់ពួកគេ ជាសញ្ញានៃព្រះហឫទ័យពេញចិត្តរបស់ខ្ញុំ; ហើយកូនប្រុសនៃកុន្តី គឺយុធិષ્ઠិរ គួរតែយល់ព្រមចំពោះអំពើនេះរបស់ខ្ញុំ»។ ពេលឮដូច្នេះ អ្នកបម្រើទាំងឡាយភ្ញាក់ផ្អើល ហើយទៅប្រាប់ដុរយោធនៈអំពីរឿងទាំងមូល។
