अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः

न भयान्नाप्यनुक्रोशान्नार्थलो भान्न काम्यया । क्षात्रं धर्ममहं जह्यामिति मे व्रतमाहितम्‌

na bhayān nāpy anukrośān nārthalobhān na kāmyayā | kṣātraṃ dharmam ahaṃ jahyām iti me vratam āhitam ||

រាមបាននិយាយថា៖ «មិនមែនដោយសារភ័យ មិនមែនដោយសារក្តីអាណិត មិនមែនដោយសារលោភលន់ទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិ ហើយក៏មិនមែនដោយសារក្តីប្រាថ្នាផ្ទាល់ខ្លួនណាមួយដែរ ខ្ញុំនឹងមិនបោះបង់ធម៌របស់ក្សត្រយុទ្ធឡើយ។ នេះជាវ្រតដែលខ្ញុំបានទទួលយកយ៉ាងមាំមួន»។
